Our Roots

Our Programs
The educational programs at Agape Montessori School were created with our children’s needs in mind: to mature and develop in a safe yet stimulating environment. Take a look below to learn more about each program.
Class Time
Our classes have a 1 Teacher to 10 Students ratio, for children ages 2-6 (children must be toilet trained prior to attending school). Our curriculum includes Practical Life, Sensorial, Language, Math, and Culture. There will be daily lessons on reading, writing, counting, addition, subtraction, culture, history, science, arts & craft, music, sports, foreign languages and the Bible.
Cooking Lessons
*Due to Covid restrictions our Cooking lessons will be temporarily halted.
Children enjoy our monthly thematic or holiday Cooking lessons! They are hands-on, educational (children use their math skills to measure and count), great for strengthening motor skills, but most of all it’s fun and delicious!
Foreign Languages
Children will learn basic communication skills in Spanish, French, Mandarin, and Japanese.
Culture
Children will learn about Farm Life, City Life, the 50 States of America, the 7 Continents around the World, and about the Solar System. Our immersive curriculum includes hands-on lessons on Animals, Plants, Transportation, Landforms, Biomes, Astronomy and so much more!
Music Lessons
Children sing daily during Circle Time. Music time includes nursery rhymes, finger play, hand motions, educational songs about animals, seasons, and the solar system, Christmas carols, songs in foreign languages, and praise song. Music lessons also include learning the scale, notes, beat, rhythm, and playing various instruments. Our children perform in two music programs (Christmas and Graduation) a year.
Art Lessons
Our children receive weekly arts and crafts lessons that tie into our Culture lessons. In the classroom there is an art table that is available to them on a daily basis.
Sports Program
Our Sports Program includes large motor skills such as balance, skipping, and climbing, and introduction to Sports. Children will learn to throw and catch, run to bases, bat, and tag for Baseball. Children will learn to kick the ball, dribble with their feet, pass and score for Soccer. Children will learn to throw, catch, punt, block, and run for Football. Children will learn to bounce pass, catch, bounce the ball, dribble, pivot, block and shoot for Basketball. Children will learn to hold their breath, practice the flutter kick on a mat, and learn the four basic strokes for Swimming (on land). Children will learn stretches, the backbend, somersault, and cartwheel for Gymnastics.
